Welcome Class of 2017

Photo by Chris Breeze under Creative CommonsAll of us at Vasudha are excited to see new faces joining our ever-growing community of thinkers and makers. Vasudha is one of several living and learning communities at Rensselaer meant to give students an opportunity to immerse themselves in a topic of their choosing. We encourage you to sign up for the course “Nature/Society” taught by Dr. Brandon Costelloe-Kuehn. We will do our best to coordinate between the class and Vasudha activities so that you’ll be engaging with new ideas at various levels. While themed housing is only for your first year, many students choose to keep involved with Vasudha for the rest of their time at Rensselaer.

Please look out for Vasudha staff, and the Sustainability Research Network at upcoming Rensselaer orientation events in the coming months. You can also look forward to a couple of Vasudha traditions including a beginning of the year barbecue, a trip to the Margaret A. and David M. Darrin ’40 Freshwater Institute on Lake George.
